ROME FILM FESTIVAL: TELETHON GALA RETURNS TO OPEN COLONNA

Again this year the world of cinema meets that of solidarity at the Telethon Gala 2015, on occasion of the Rome Film Festival, aimed to support scientific research on rare genetic diseases.

The invitation-only evening is Wednesday, 21 October, at Open Colonna, where a special dinner prepared by Michelin-starred Chef Antonello Colonna, and organized and conceived by Tiziana Rocca Comunicazione, for the seventh year in a row alongside Telethon.

Francesco Facchinetti, and a succession of VIP guests, will emcee the event, attended by Telethon Foundation leaders such as president Luca di Montezemolo and the Director General Francesca Pasinelli, but also numerous guests from the world of Italian music and show business, such as Monica Guerritore, Claudio Santamaria, Antonello Venditti, and many others, who by purchasing a table gave hope to those who fight a genetic disease every day.

A short film on haemophilia, “Traguardi”, financed by Rai Cinema, a Telethon partner for the last ten years, and a Gala patron for seven, will be shown. Also present will be the protagonists of the film, who leave on 1 November to face a major challenge, the New York Marathon. For the second consecutive year the Gruppo Barletta will attend; it has donated to Telethon for years. The CEO will present a check for €10,000 to Francesca Pasinelli and receive a Plexiglas heart.

During the dinner the guests can contribute further to the Telethon mission by purchasing lottery tickets to be drawn at the end of the evening.
